Double Glazing, Argon gas, Low E2 /Low E3 coating

Because of their location, Skylights are exposed to all kinds of weather. VELUX glazing provides heat insulation, sound insulation, added strength and safety – and protection from the elements.

All VELUX Skylights are Double Glazed, Argon gas filled and Low E3 coated ( GGL/GGU Roof Window has Low E2 coating).

Recommendation: Where to use LAMINATED GLASS

VELUX recommend that you consult local regulations to determine what kind of glazing is right for your purpose. However, independent of local regulations, VELUX recommend that you consider using insulating glass units with laminated glass on the inside for windows placed above areas where people sleep, play or work.
